About us

We are an IOT startup and are working on some exciting tech stuff!

Course in a box kits
The course in a box series is an IOT kit with an integrated app based course. Each kit has all the components required to build the prototype of a simple IOT applications. Each kit has an accompanying mobile app based course which will guide you step by step. Using the course in a box kit, you will be able to learn IOT and simultaneously build one IOT solution.
IONMP based entities
IONMP protocol specification is a protocol developed by Qantom to specifically address the issue that there is no standard protocol implementation for IOT. IONMP stands for Input Output Nodes Messaging Protocol.
The protocol specification allows for a plug-and-play mechanism and allows interoperability between IOT end-points.
WiNoT®
WiNoT® was conceptualized with the belief that it must be possible for IOT implementors to create wireless enabled IOT solutions without the need for complex embedded or socket programming knowledge. The desire is to make it possible for anybody, even those who are non programmers to be able to build IOT systems.

Each kit has an accompanying mobile app based course which will guide you step by step. Using the course in a box kit, you will be able to learn IOT and simultaneously build one IOT solution.

One of the big differentiators with our kit is that, with our kits, you DONT just get a box of sensors and actuators. You get a package of sensors and actuators using which you can build one or more meaningful prototypes. You also get a tutorial app which will guide you about each component as a separate entity and also about how to use these components together to build a project. The app is a full fledged course by itself!
You will learn the fun way!

IONMP

IONMP protocol specification is a protocol developed by Qantom to specifically address the issue that there is no standard protocol implementation for IOT. IONMP stands for Input Output Nodes Messaging Protocol. The protocol specification allows for a plug-and-play mechanism and allows interoperability between IOT end-points. This protocol allows sensors and actuators to advertise their identity and capabilities. The protocol also specifies how sensors publish their readings and how actuators and other output devices can be controlled.
We have developed a IONMP compliant framework and libraries for compliant end points. Future development of the framework and end-points will be done being done in the opensource realm, under the banner of ThingsPing.

A short video illustrating how the IONMP Protocol is useful.
A real life implementation using the IONMP protocol

NOTE: This video is just an illustration of how the WiNoT® framework can be used to build highly configurable IOT enabled systems. We do not actually do Home Automation.
We are working on building an active community for developing and maintaining IONMP. We would be glad to hear from you if you are interested in participating in becoming a part of our developer community. Yes I want to be a part of the opensource journey!

WiNoT®

WiNoT® was conceptualized with the belief that it must be possible for IOT implementors to create wireless enabled IOT solutions without the need for complex embedded or socket programming knowledge. The desire is to make it possible for anybody, even those who are non programmers to be able to build IOT systems.
The core philosopy of WiNoT® are:
  • It must be easy for people who are not electronic engineers or computer science specialists to be able to create IOT solutions
  • Must follow the 3-Easy-C principle - Easy to a)Create, b)Configure and c)Customize
  • Wireless intelligence must be built into the product. Any developer who wants to create customized sensors and output devices must be able to do so in easy steps
When we started our IOT journey, we started by conceptualizing WiNoT® with the same core philosophies. We built our first product, the WiNoT® integrated trainer. When we started deploying the trainer, one of the challenges we faced was that the protocols we were using in the trainer were not actually built for IOT. Be it HTTP, MQTT, COAP or whatever, the whole world is using protocols that were written for some other needs. They are being adopted for use in IOT. So another point we added to the philosophy was that the sensors must have a standard messaging format. This philosophy is what prompted us to develop the IONMP protocol and the related entities.

Keeping in line with WiNoT®'s vision of focussing on building Smart, Wireless enabled sensors, we have delegated the development and maintanance of the IONMP entities to the opensource community under the brand of ThingsPing®.
We are working on developing a wide range of smart wireless enabled sensors and actuators. These devices will have wireless and cloud functionality integrated into the sensors. The devices can be deployed directly without the need for complex code to enable the wireless and cloud functionality. These devices can be configured easily from the cloud.
